MTF slide-type Magnetostrictive displacement sensor Product Profile:

The principle of MTF slide-type magnetostrictive displacement sensor is to generate a strain pulse signal when two different magnetic fields intersect, and then calculate the time period required for this signal to be detected, so as to convert the exact position. The two fields come from a permanent magnet in the magnetic ring and a pulse of excitation generated by the electronics in the sensor bin. The excitation pulse travels at the speed of sound along the waveguide wire made of magnetostrictive material within the sensor. When it intersects the permanent magnet field in the magnetic ring, the mechanical vibration of the waveguide wire is formed as a strain pulse due to magnetostriction. Strain pulses are soon detected by sensor circuits in the bin. The magnetostrictive displacement sensor can accurately calculate the position change of the magnet by multiply the total time from the moment when the excitation pulse is generated to the time when the strain pulse is detected by the fixed speed of sound. This process is continuous, so whenever the ring position changes, the new position is quickly measured. Since the output signal is the real value, rather than a proportional or reamplified signal, there is no signal drift or variable value, much less the need for periodic remarking like other sensors.

It has the advantages of high resolution, high precision, high stability, high reliability, fast response time and long working life. Sensors do not need to be recalibrated or maintained regularly. MTF1/MTF2 slider type magnetostrictive displacement sensor wiring mode:  
Before connecting cables, check whether the power supply meets the following requirements: +24VDC and the output power of the power supply must be greater than the total power consumption. The output power of each sensor must be less than or equal to 95mA in different ranges. If electricity    

Analog signal output wiring mode:  
1. Direct connection of waterproof connector: The sensor has five contacts: power supply positive (brown), power supply negative (black), signal output positive (blue), signal output negative (white), housing ground (shielded wire)  
2. Aviation plug wiring: The sensor has five contacts: (1) power supply positive (brown), (2) power supply negative (black), (3) signal output positive (blue), (4) signal output negative (white), (5) housing ground (shielded wire)     

Digital signal output wiring mode:  
1. Direct connection of waterproof connector: The sensor has five contacts: positive power supply (brown), power supply ground (black), RS485A(blue), RS485B (white), housing ground (shielded wire)
2. Aviation plug wiring:   The sensor has five contacts: 1 positive power supply (brown), 2 power supply ground (black),3 RS485A(blue), 4 RS485B (white), 5 housing ground (shielded wire)
