I. Principle and overview of vibrating string sensor

1.The vibrating string sensor is a kind of non-electric measurement sensor which is widely used at home and abroad. It includes a heat-treated chord detection element consisting of a stress-relieved spring connected to the chord at one end and a sliding tie rod at the other. With the pull of the sliding rod, the spring starts to stretch and causes the increase of the tension of the vibrating string, and the vibration frequency of the steel string also changes accordingly, and the tension is proportional to the elongation of the spring. Therefore, the change of displacement can be realized by measuring the tension of the steel string, that is, the change of the vibration frequency of the steel string. Because the vibration string sensor directly outputs the natural vibration frequency signal of the vibration string, it has the characteristics of strong anti-interference ability, small influence by electric parameters, small zero drift, small influence by temperature, stable and reliable performance, vibration resistance, long life and so on.

2. Applications of vibrating string displacement sensors
Vibration string displacement sensors are widely used in dam, bridge, rock, concrete, soil, road, factory building, tunnel, underground cavern and model test engineering of structural objects displacement, settlement, deformation, crack, etc., to carry out long-term relative displacement change detection.

V. Notice
1.The instrument should work within the rated measuring range.
2.When installing instrument cables, try to use cables away from electrical interference such as engines, transformers, spot welders, power cables, motor engines, etc. The cable must not be buried underground or transmitted with the AC power cord. Otherwise, the cable will sense electrical interference signals of other frequencies, which will make it difficult for the instrument to obtain stable readings.
3.When connecting the long cable according to the needs of the site, attention should be paid to the waterproof sealing of the joint to be reliable.
4.Instrument handling and installation and other links should be careful to pay attention to, remember violent vibration. Avoid any mechanical damage or deformation of the instrument or parts, with emphasis on protecting the sensor and measuring rod and other connections from damage and deformation.
5.Instrument lead cable up to 1000 meters (purchased separately). Users do not give instructions when ordering, are 2 meters long wiring factory.
6.If the instrument has not been used for more than 12 months, it should be calibrated again before use.
